Sephora Boys

back

Real men only use soap and water for skin care? No way! After girls in particular caused a sensation with the Sephora kids topic, teenage boys are now also showing their grooming routines on Tiktok. The interest in skincare has developed far beyond traditional pimple care, and the guys are at the forefront of it. More and more young men are embracing thoughtful skincare routines and sharing their experiences on social media. Others, on the other hand, seek advice on social networks for skin problems such as pimples or dry skin.

The products range from cleansers and serums to day or night cream. Skin care according to one's own needs is no longer uncool or unmanly. But with similar trends similar problems arise: The "Sephora girls" have already caused a stir because they are already using anti-aging ingredients such as retinol at the age of ten, eleven or twelve. Similar tendencies are now evident among male skincare fans in their teens. The danger: Active ingredients such as retinol can quickly overstimulate youthful skin and make it sensitive to the sun. And anti-aging ingredients are simply not necessary at this age.

Nevertheless, a well-thought-out and age-appropriateskin care routine is worthwhile, because young men often have oilier skin due to the higher testosterone level. Therefore, a cleanser that is suitable for combination or oily skin makes sense. A cleanser, a tonic or serum with a suitable, mild acid can also be helpful for clogged pores. An indispensable part of any facial care routine – regardless of age or gender – is also a moisturizer with sun protection!

It becomes clear: the tweens are actively looking for their own skincare routine and want to be taken seriously as a target group!
