Women in the Mibelle Group on Navigating Career and Family

What key experiences have shaped your career journey?
My journey began with a basic commercial apprenticeship, and I went on to stay in the profession for five years. I then became a mother of two daughters at a relatively young age and once my children were in school, I pursued and completed my degree in business economics. Following this, I embarked on a dynamic career as a CEO Assistant, gaining invaluable experience in both the machinery and printing industries.
My entrepreneurial spirit was nurtured early on by my parents, who ran their own company. This exposure allowed me to step into the role of supporting a business manager at a very young age, laying the foundation for my future endeavours.
What do you enjoy most about your job, and what keeps you motivated?
My daily work is incredibly diverse, offering me insights into a wide range of topics at the group management level. I thrive on being at the heart of events, where I can support shaping outcomes while staying behind the scenes. This dynamic role fuels my motivation, and I genuinely appreciate the positive feedback I receive for my contributions.
What advice would you give young professionals on their own career paths?
Make yourself visible. Show commitment. Be loyal. Always be one step ahead. I also think it is important that organisations support all employees who want to get ahead and are committed, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity etc. It’s important to foster diverse perspectives and creating equal opportunities for all.
Junjing: Insights Manager, Mibelle Group
How did you get into your current role, and what does your day-to-day work involve?
I have been part of Mibelle Group’s Business Development Insights team for over two years as an Insights Manager. With 18 years of experience—starting as an analyst at Nielsen and later spending 10 years in marketing—I bring a blend of data and strategy expertise.
My role involves developing data-driven tools for employees and business units while supporting management in strategic decision-making through data research, market and consumer analysis, and competitor intelligence.
What key experiences have shaped your career journey?
I spent 10 years in marketing and 8 years in analytics. My data analysis background strengthened my marketing skills, and my marketing experience added depth to my analysis role.
What advice would you give young professionals on their own career paths?
Balancing work and personal life have been my biggest challenge throughout my 18-year career, even relocating for family reasons. However, I believe this challenge isn’t gender-specific—success in both career and family life rely on strong support systems.
Having faced hardships myself, I know how valuable mentorship and shared experiences are in empowering women in the workplace. My advice? Don’t overthink the ‘what ifs’—just go for it. A balanced family life and strong support network are key to both personal and professional growth.
